Macaroni and Cheese

Serves 6

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound dry pasta
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 3½ cups, shredded cheese (use different cheeses together for extra deliciousness!)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • ¼ cup bread crumbs

Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cook pasta for 5 minutes, then drain.
  3. Combine milk and flour in a medium sauce pan using a whisk.
  4. Heat milk and flour over a medium heat until it just bubbles. Remove from heat.
  5. Incorporate shredded cheeses, salt and pepper.
  6. Coat a caserole pan with butter, then add drained pasta.
  7. Stir in the cheese sauce.
  8. Place Swiss cheese on top of pasta and cheese mixture.
  9. Coat with bread crumbs and top with a slice of butter.
  10. Cook in oven for 25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and browned.
