Chocolate Chip Cookies

Serves 6

Ingredients:

  • 2¼ cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon dark Mexican vanilla
  • 1½ bags premium milk chocolate chips (like Ghirardelli)

Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Combine flour with the baking soda and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a mixer bowl, cream butter with both sugars, eggs and vanilla.
  4. Gradually blend the flour mixture into the creamed mixture.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips.
  6. Drop onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 9-11 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven a let sit on cookie sheet for 1 minute.
  8. Place cookies onto a wire cooling rack.
  9. Eat!
