2008 Harvest
The harvest in 2008 was very good, with a nice crop set and fairly even ripening across the orchard.
We lost more than 1000 pounds of fruit to very strong winds (in excess of 80MPH) and heavy downpours during
a severe storm, but otherwise we made very good progress. This year is the first year that we picked all
of the Estate fruit ourselves. For the Foothills Blend, we hired a picking crew for only one day in order
to harvest an adjoining farm.
