Sylverleaf Olive Oil

Butter Isn't Better

For many years, the debate (some would say war) has raged on about the superiority of butter for most cooking needs when compared to olive oil. In our conversations with a wide array of people, from chefs to nurses, most concur that olive oil is not only better for you, but tastes better too.

We heartily agree with this sentiment and suggest that you go out on a limb (literally) and give olive oil a try. You might be surprised to find that it works very well in some unusual places.

  • On fresh salads and steamed vegetable dishes
  • In hearty soups, stews and chili
  • To fry fish, popcorn or potatoes
  • On any spicy food, especially Mexican and Spanish dishes
  • As a cooking spray. Pour olive oil into a spray mister and use it in place of your usual cooking spray
  • As an essential ingredient in your cooking and baking. Use it in any way that you currently use butter or other vegetable oils
  • If you're particularly adventurous, use olive oil in your next batch of homemade brownies
